News: GTAIV: San Andreas Beta 3 is out now
|
Last week we reported that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City had been pulled from all digital retailers, including Steam and Rockstar's own store. Today Cinemablend was able to confirm that the game was pulled due to licensing issues with the music, more specifically the use of the Michael Jackson song "Wanna be Startin' Something'" on Fever 105. One fan reached out to Rockstar and received this reply:
While Rockstar hasn't confirmed this, it's likely they will patch over the existing copies of VC regardless if you bought the game before they lost rights. As a precaution, we advise anyone with a digital copy of Vice City to back up their game files immediately to avoid the loss of said song and any other content Rockstar may have to remove.
